I started in the frontend. I stayed for the systems.
I began stitching together WordPress sites with more guesswork than knowledge. Over the years I moved into fullstack, then into designing architectures that hold under real traffic, and today I lead an engineering team at Minimalart while taking selective consulting and architecture work. I work daily across TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Laravel, and Postgres, and I ship production systems in environments with security and process requirements. The work I'm proudest of is invisible: decisions that age well, teams that understand what they maintain, and releases that ship when they're supposed to.
How I build software.
-
Architecture before code.
I draw the system before I open the editor: boundaries, data flow, failure modes, blast radius. Architecture isn't about elegance — it's about making the next change cheap.
-
Built to be maintained.
The diagram is the starting point, not the deliverable. I turn that architecture into code the team can read, extend, and change without fear — less accidental complexity, more explicit decisions.
-
Performance is a feature.
p95 is a budget, not a vanity metric. Nobody cares about Lighthouse screenshots — they care about fast interfaces, stable flows, and software that doesn't break under pressure. I measure first, and I won't call something done if it regresses TTFB or hydration.
-
AI-assisted engineering.
AI accelerates the repetitive, the operational, scaffolding, and large refactors. The architecture, the tests, and the production cut stay the engineer's call. Nothing reaches production unchecked.
-
Clarity over cleverness.
The smartest solution nobody else understands is a liability. I prefer code and documentation the next developer — or the next AI tool — can safely pick up.
Experience.

His way of writing simple code and the best practices he taught me — DRY, KISS — still live in my day-to-day.
-
Without him I couldn't have started building websites for the clients who needed an online platform. And without me, he wouldn't have taken his first steps in this world either.
-
Together with him I built my first WordPress theme. My first development job happened thanks to him.
Good software at scale is built on shared understanding.
Senior engineering is half writing software and half making the team that writes it better. No heroics, no single-person bottlenecks.
-
Alignment over heroics.
Documented decisions and shared context so the team moves without depending on one person. Continuity shouldn't live in anyone's head.
-
Architecture you can understand.
I write decision records the next engineer reads in fifteen minutes — and that AI tools can follow. Shorter onboarding, less friction adding people.
-
Reviews that make better engineers.
I review for correctness and readability, but mostly so the team writes better in six months than it does today. Code review is knowledge transfer, not a formality.
-
Security and sustainable delivery.
I've worked in environments with security and process requirements without slowing delivery. Secure practices as part of how the code is written — not a checklist taped to the end.
The stack.
Working tools, listed honestly. No logo soup.

Engineers in the loop. AI on the rails.
I use AI assistants in every project to speed up the repetitive, the operational, and large refactors — scaffolding, migrations, documentation. The architecture, the tests, and the production cut are the engineer's call. The difference is throughput, not judgment: nothing reaches production unchecked.

-
Scaffolding & migrations.
AI generates the scaffolding and the repetitive changes; I review, type-check, and commit.
-
Large refactors, with judgment.
It accelerates heavy refactors and migrations; the design decisions and boundaries are mine.
-
Documentation as I go.
Every architecture decision gets a one-paragraph ADR — drafted with AI, signed off by me.
A clear process, no surprises.
Pick the view that fits your team. The work is the same; I just explain it differently depending on who I'm talking to.
-
Technical assessment
1 week · fixed fee
I read the codebase, talk to your team, and deliver a one-page architecture assessment: risks, technical debt, and next steps. You decide if we continue — no obligation.
-
Embedded build & leadership
4 – 12 weeks · weekly
Embedded as a senior engineer, technical lead, or architecture partner. PRs, design docs, code reviews, and the decisions that keep delivery on track.
-
Scale & hand off
1 – 2 weeks · fixed fee
We harden the system for growth, leave ADRs and runbooks, and I run a knowledge-transfer session per engineer. Your team owns it cleanly after I'm out.
-
Understand the goal
We start from your business goal, not the technology. What you need, by when, and what success looks like.
-
A clear plan
I propose a plan with scope, timeline, and cost before a single line of code. No fine print.
-
We build it
I execute with frequent updates in plain language. You always know where your project stands.
-
Delivery & support
We ship it to production, I walk you through how it works, and I stay available for what comes next.
